Agostino Pozzi, MD, is an accomplished surgeon and life science consultant.
Agostino, an MD from Milan (Italy), is a second-year MPH/MBA dual degree student at Johns Hopkins. Before Hopkins, he completed research and surgery internships in the U.S. (Virginia Mason Medical Center and Georgetown University Hospital), Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America. Cooperating with diverse teams in various healthcare settings and markets allowed him to understand current and future trends in the healthcare sector and translate the findings of his research projects into meaningful improvement opportunities for various institutions. His research interests include digital breast tomosynthesis, coagulation disorders, thoracic surgery, and liver transplant surgery.
Agostino is transitioning from surgical practice to management consulting with the goal of implementing impactful structural solutions in the life sciences sector.
Outside of the classroom, he is president of the Johns Hopkins Graduate Consulting Club and the John B. Grant Global Health Society. Through his roles in these groups, he enjoys providing meaningful career development opportunities to students at the Bloomberg School of Public Health and Carey Business School.
