Don McDaniel is an accomplished leader, advisor, and entrepreneur
He is also a highly-respected health economist, and sought-after speaker, writer and strategic facilitator. Over his professional career, Mr. McDaniel has played leadership roles in a number of health care, insurance and technology organizations, and is recognized as a thought-leader and strong executive manager. Mr. McDaniel has expertise in the areas of health economics and markets, innovation, entrepreneurship, business and strategic planning, and the strategic deployment of health information technology.
His firm, Sage Growth Partners, LLC (SGP), is a leading health care strategy, applied information technology and venture management firm, and in his role as President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. McDaniel advises a number and diversity of prominent clients in the health care industry and related industries, and generally leads SGP’s efforts to deliver high-impact, deep-value solutions to its clients. Simultaneously, he is a member of the faculty in health economics and strategy in the Carey Business School’s renowned Business of Medicine MBA program at The Johns Hopkins University, a joint venture with The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
During his distinguished career, Mr. McDaniel has held a series of leadership positions. Previously, he served as Vice President and General Manager of Lighthouse Risk Solutions, a subsidiary of IWIF, a top domestic U.S. property and casualty insurer, President, Integrated Solutions Group, Ascendia Healthcare Management, a health care business process outsourcing, information technology and turnaround firm, and Vice President, Business Strategy for Bon Secours Baltimore Health System, a member of the Bon Secours Health System. Prior to that, he was Vice President, Managed Care Operations for Liberty Medical Center, Baltimore, Maryland, and Co-Founder and Partner of the Healthcare Consulting Group, a management and technology consulting and outsourcing firm.
