Kathy Maddock

General Manager and Vice President, Operations Division

As General Manager and Vice President of the Operations Division at Sage Growth Partners, LLC (SGP), Kathy Maddock, BSN, MSA, FACMPE, is responsible for overseeing all consulting engagements for health IT projects, revenue cycle/operational assessments and improvements, and culture assessments.  The division specializes in the FQHC market and PCMH and ACOs.

Kathy is an accomplished industry executive with over 20 years of extensive clinical operations, finance and EMR experience. She is widely recognized for her strategic and business planning capabilities, as well as her ability to develop comprehensive, effectual solutions within the ACO, PCMH and hospital environments.

Prior to joining SGP, Kathy was the Senior Administrator/COO for the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and Faculty Physicians, Inc.  Her previous experiences include administrative roles with the University of Maryland Medical Center and progressively more responsible clinical nursing positions.

Kathy’s continues to serve as the Executive Director for a Medicare Shared Savings Program ACO and CIN, where she oversees operations and strategies in conjunction with the ACO’s/CIN Medical Director.

Developed and implemented a roll-out of Management Service Organization (MSO) tiered services for physician enterprise.

Critiqued clinical program opportunities, including chronic care management, for medical practices.

Strategized with physicians to achieve Meaningful Use accreditation and meet PQRS quality measures, among other federal quality initiatives.

Created clinical quality data reporting systems for participation in the Patient Centered Medical Home Care (PCMH) model and Meaningful Use initiative.

Collaborated with State of Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and coalition groups to implement PCMH transformation models.

Administered operations in the Department of Family and Community Medicine and its affiliated clinical practices, including urgent care, obstetrics, sports medicine, geriatrics, behavioral health, student health, clinical bariatrics, and integrative medicine, with over 50,000 annual patient visits.

Developed and managed department and clinical budgets of over $11 million, including grants and service contracts with more than 100 physician faculty, residents and staff.

Revitalized physician morale by revising productivity measures used in physician compensation models.

Kathy earned her MSA in General Business Administration from Central Michigan University. She holds a BSN in Nursing from the University of the State of New York and an RN and AACN in Critical Care Nursing from Union Memorial School of Nursing in Baltimore.
