Don McDaniel to moderate panel discussion on ICD-10 and its implications for the future path of data and healthcare intelligence
Baltimore, MD – February 20, 2012 Precyse, a leader in health information management (HIM) technology and services, has engaged Sage Growth Partners CEO Don McDaniel to moderate a panel discussion at the HIMSS Annual Conference and Exhibition on February 23 in Las Vegas, NV.
Amid this time of continued change for the healthcare industry, the panel discussion, Value beyond ICD10 – Sparking the Migration of Data to Intelligence, will discuss the importance of organizations positioning themselves to proactively manage the migration of data into actionable healthcare intelligence that helps save time, money, and lives.
Joining McDaniel on the panel will be Pam Arlotto, president of Maestro Strategies, LLC, and Howard Landa, M.D., chief medical information officer of Alameda County Medical Center.
“We are delighted that Don has agreed to moderate this panel on our behalf,” said Chris Powell, president of Precyse. “ICD-10 is a vitally important topic; it is about dramatically improving and codifying clinical documentation, which in turn is crucial in a fully automated electronic medical record environment. We know that Don will be informative and engaging as he guides this thought leadership discussion.”
“Organizations are confronting challenges that can be viewed as obstructions or opportunities,” said McDaniel. “The overarching message will focus on the importance of being prepared and proactive. I am excited to share my ideas and those of the co-presenters.”
