SGP to perform marketing and consulting work for Friend Family Health Center, Goshen Medical Center, Kenosha Community Health Center and Legacy Community Health Center
Baltimore, MD – Sep. 21, 2016 – Sage Growth Partners (SGP), a Baltimore-based healthcare strategy, technology and marketing firm today announced new engagements with four leading federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) from around the country.
“As the FQHC movement celebrates 50 years of delivering quality care to underserved populations, they must contend with a highly competitive and rapidly changing healthcare landscape,” said Dan D’Orazio, SGP President. “The new economics of healthcare are challenging legacy FQHC markets, pushing FQHCs to respond with more business-savvy than they ever needed before. These forward-thinking FQHCs are getting ahead of that competition and seeking to lead in their markets.”
Friend Family Health Center, Chicago, IL
Founded in 1997, Friend Family currently operates six service delivery sites and serves more than 30,000 patients annually. SGP will conduct a marketing awareness campaign for Friend Family, including a logo and website refresh. The messaging and outreach program will raise Friend Family’s visibility and perception with internal constituents, current and prospective patients, and external stakeholders.
Goshen Medical Center, Faison, NC
Serving the residents of eastern North Carolina since 1979, Goshen Medical Center provides care to more than 35,000 patients. SGP will support Goshen Medical Center by assisting the executive team with revenue cycle improvement and management.
Kenosha Community Health Center, Kenosha, WI
Kenosha provides services to more than 21,000 individuals in southeastern Wisconsin. Following the closure of a community health center in Racine, Kenosha acquired a grant from a local hospital to operate a mobile medical van, intending to close the care gap for that population. SGP will partner with Kenosha and its stakeholders to develop a community health needs assessment, identifying the need for continued services and access to care for potential patients in and around the city of Racine. The needs assessment will determine the sustainability of restoring and maintaining a viable health center presence in Racine.
Legacy Community Health Center, Houston, TX
Formed in 2005 as a result of the merging of two leading community organizations, Legacy is a full-service FQHC with 22 locations across the Houston area and nearby Beaumont. SGP will perform revenue cycle and marketing assessments for Legacy, to identify areas of opportunity and improvement. The assessments will result in a plan to help Legacy optimize business performance and practice management.
“FQHCs are essential networks of publicly-funded health clinics that serve the most vulnerable among us,” said D’Orazio. “Our team has a very unique depth of experience in the FQHC space, both from working at, and consulting with, community health centers. We’re very excited about helping these clients and ensuring they continue in their mission to provide comprehensive and quality care for all.”
