Evolving U.S. Healthcare Needs and Attitudes During COVID-19

by | Jun 29, 2020

Our second survey finds substantial shift in concerns, enduring trends in technology growth, and strong emphasis on patient engagement.

A recent survey of U.S. hospital executives explored how their priorities and concerns have evolved over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic – revealing long-lasting effects and signaling new opportunities.

Sage Growth Partners (SGP) conducted the survey during the week of May 25 to explore how hospital executives’ perspectives on the impact of COVID-19 have changed over a seven-week period since SGP’s initial survey, conducted the week of April 6. We wanted to dig deeper on findings from the early April survey about the dramatic growth in virtual care and begin to probe about how hospitals will operate post-COVID-19. We found that fears about financial health have unseated worries about staff health as the number one concern, virtual care is here to stay, and even greater emphasis will be placed on patient satisfaction.
