Account Manager/Writer (#210521SGP)

Job Summary: 

Working as part of a full service marketing communications agency focused exclusively on the business of healthcare, the Account Manager/Writer will provide a wide range of client-facing support and execution on retained marketing accounts. To be successful, this individual will have a strong background in writing for healthcare organizations or publications and have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage a number of projects simultaneously. The individual will communicate well and execute on a wide range of campaigns and content needs. He/She must also be comfortable working with clients, our internal team, and our network of subcontractors to deliver consistently outstanding work in a fast-moving environment.


  • Create high-quality content for clients, including whitepapers, reports, blogs, case studies, web copy, and e-mail copy
  • Create and manage social media content for various clients
  • Serve as key point of contact for customer account management matters
  • Clearly document and communicate the progress of initiatives to internal and external stakeholders 
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects according to customer needs and objectives
  • Collaborate with the broader team to complete projects and deliver materials on time
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships

Skills needed:

  • Excellent writer and editor with experience creating various types of content, including whitepapers or published articles and reports, blogs, case studies, web copy, and e-mail copy
  • Excellent project manager, capable of managing multiple projects at once
  • Self-starter who excels at working independently and as part of a broader, cross-functional team
  • Strategic and creative thinker who can contribute to the formation and execution of client campaigns
  • Client- facing and buttoned-up demeanor
  • Thrive in a fast paced and deadline driven agency environment
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to create and adhere to complex timelines and schedules
  • Self-motivated and ability to thrive in a results-driven environment
  • BA/BS in communications/marketing or similar field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience as a writer or editor
  • Experience in the healthcare industry preferred
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign optional
