David’s over 20 years in leadership roles at Accenture brings a level of expertise and commitment to excellence in his role as Chief Operating Officer where he manages the operations and financial execution of the firm. In addition, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in pharma and life sciences, rounding out the leadership expertise at Sage.
He established and oversees Sage’s management systems and processes, and has optimized finance, project management, HR/talent, IT, contracting and other operations that support the growth and maturation of the business. He also leverages his experience as a seasoned healthcare executive to provide insight and multi-disciplined execution to growth-minded healthcare organizations, with a focus on healthcare technology companies, life sciences companies, and private equity firms. He is actively involved in SGP’s growth efforts, helping expand our portfolio and plan for future engagements.
David brings over 25 years of strategic and operations experience—broadly spread across the health and life sciences sectors—to our firm. Prior to joining SGP, he held progressively more responsible leadership positions at Accenture for over 20 years, where his most recent role was as Managing Director, Accenture Strategy – Health & Life Sciences. Previously, he was Chair of the Board of Trustees for Baltimore Medical System (BMS), a community-based, independent non-profit that is the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Maryland.
Across his client-facing and internal-facing work, David is respected for his innovative, analytical, and pragmatic solutions. He has authored numerous thought leadership papers and presentations on a variety of topics that include consumerism, cost reduction, healthcare reform, and mergers and acquisitions. He earned his B.A. in political science from Haverford College and his MBA in Health Care Management from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
