Tom Sullivan

Senior Director of Editorial Services

Anyone who’s been on a Zoom meeting with Tom will notice the tranquil hue of his office – a Sage green that’s appropriately symbolic of growth, wisdom, and wellbeing.

Tom’s many years in healthcare thought leadership make him ideal to serve as Sage’s senior director of editorial services. While he aces some of the company’s biggest accounts, Tom also has experience working at health IT startups that give him a good basis of knowledge for both the technological and business aspects of All Things Healthcare. He’s previously been a client of Sage, when working as editor in chief of Health Evolution, and has reported on just about every facet of the healthcare ecosystem during his time at HIMSS. There he served as editor in chief of Healthcare IT News, Healthcare Finance News, MobiHealthNews, and a whole slew of sub-brand email newsletters. Tom has also put his degree in English language and literature from the University of Maryland to good use in his earlier days as a beat reporter and news editor at IDG’s InfoWorld magazine, covering everything from application development to the then-emerging interoperability standards now underpinning the internet. During his career, Tom’s work has earned awards from the American Society of Business Press Editors and he has twice been a finalist for the Jesse H. Neal Award.

Tom lives in New York’s Hudson Valley with his wife, son, daughter, and black lab Sgt. Pepper, where he loves to cook, hike, mountain bike, and fly fish. He is an avid reader and can’t live without their espresso machine, a preference that serves Sage clients like GE HealthCare well.
