Amrita Mehta

Strategy Consultant

Amrita Mehta has her fingers in all of the cookie jars – in more ways than one.

The avid baker grew up in a family of physicians and assumed she’d follow in their footsteps. But pursuing a master’s degree in bioengineering at the University of Pennsylvania meant her “patients” and co-workers as a research assistant at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia were mice.
University introduced her to the Wharton School’s consulting group, where Amrita worked as a consultant for three early-stage life science startups before joining the Sage Growth Partners team as a business strategist. Her family and educational background have instilled in her a passion for listening, learning, and being curious, she says.
Amrita’s brain is active in her spare time, too, and she enjoys finishing the New York Times’ Wordle and Mini Crossword puzzle.
She lives in Philadelphia, and often hangs out in Rittenhouse Park watching dogs play and reading favorite books like “The Kite Runner” - or new ones that sate her curiosity.
