There’s barely a tail that doesn’t wag when David’s in the room, and he frequently dog-sits in his spare time.
David has traced back the lineage on his father’s side as far as Cristóbal Colón (Christopher Columbus).
For Sage art director David Manich, design is in his blood.
One of his first jobs included orchestrating a blood drive that was so successful it inspired a lifelong passion for graphic design. Since then, David’s portfolio has expanded to span many more healthcare and life science organizations, financial firms, cybersecurity companies, and non-profits and social causes. His consulting practice experience spans some of the globe’s most respected firms, including Ernst & Young, Boston Consulting Group, and McKinsey & Company.
As someone who’s studied linguistics and volunteered with non-native speakers, David is particularly inspired by the myriad ways information can be conveyed—including through body language, the written word, or visual design. He likes the emotional possibilities of photography, and is excited about the current shift in branding away from being illustration-centric.
While David considers himself a visual storyteller, he’s also a great fan of classic literature—including the works of Charles Dickens and the author’s unconventional selection of protagonists.
